Beyond the capabilities of the software provide by Philips with the recorder, the DDPM will detect when the DPM is plugged into a PC and automatically download any recordings from hand held, apply file conversion rules (like converting from the DSS file format to standard PC Wav), optionally back-up the files to the PC, log the entire event and even move the file to another PC, an Internet FTP site or automatically send the file by email to a designated recipient.
